Went dress looking! lol

and sadly i realized that everything i wanted usually comes with me saying 'but don't my arms look fat? or i have no waist! what happened?!' sooo i think we're circling round to the whole victorian idea and beard caught a glimpse of a picture of me (in other words i sent him 3 pics to his phone...DID NOT MISS THEM. lol) and told me that he liked the victorian styled one i had on the best. so chea! woot for not wearing white and still something my mother wouldn't wear! lol must keep me...must keep me.

he shot an idea down...

so gar! beard shot an idea i had down. it wasn't an amazing idea, but it'd save us a grand. he said the reception venue i liked he 'did not fall in love with'. i'm actually quite amazed that he's even this involved. when i asked him what he wanted to be a part of he said 'everything!' 'so when i say pick invitations or bouts for the boys?' 'i am there, i will pick them.' but anyway the venue was not an amazing idea, just an idea. i could see it all gothed up for the reception and the ceremony, but he's very adamant about having an outside ceremony, which i love but if we don't do it in a public park it will cost at least 800 smackaroos...i'm completely against that. he's also decided that a broom jumping is in order for the ceremony. sometimes when that kid gets an idea in his head there is just no giving it up.  so we're officially getting handfasted on oct 25 and having a broom jumping at the actual wedding. never said he wasn't a creative kid. lol although it seems as though our idea of the theme is just a little different. same theme just two different minds created it. ah dang we'll see how it all pans out.

guest attire?

i was thinking about having all the guests wear either green or blue or black...i could even extend it to wear green if you are on the groom's side and wear blue if you're on the bride's side....wear teal if you know both? they are the wedding colors after all. i'd probly tell them to wear black if they know us both, that way brad and i can wear teal. lol i have no idea but it sounded lovely. we'll see.

wedding dress ideas

so he's wearing tails and the theme has the 40s era attached to it so i'm trying to stick close to that era in dress as well...so here are some ideas i can handle.

here's what i'd rather be wearing

i guess next week is too early to go to david's bridal but i just can't help it anymore, at the same time it'll help me figure out just what i can wear for my body type. i'd also love to wear black...yep i'm unconventional and i'm ok with that.
wedding colors are teal, black, sapphire and emerald. should be a gorgeous combination.
the old colors i had picked out were pumpkin burgundy and teal. beard was just waiting for me to say i hated them and change them. he knows me better than i do sometimes. burgundy and pumpkin were traditional girl colors and i picked them to appease the family...terrible idea...always.

he said i'll marry you one day so start planning.

and here i am off like a shot. been planning since january of 2010. by now i'm sick of it because we recently picked a permanent date and guess what it's almost exactly 2 years away.  october 26, 2012. if we had all the money in the world it'd be this week, but seeing as how the economy sucks we will wait and i will continue to go to school as well.

theme: rockabilly awesome. it's us and we just can't escape it, but it also has a small underlying theme of gamer/geekiness.
